Digital Asset Management Specialist

Job Summary

Serving as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for the Canto Digital Asset Management (DAM) platform, the contract Digital Asset Management Specialist will manage a 50,000+ asset library, drive file taxonomy, oversee asset lifecycle management, and ensure secure access for internal teams and partners, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Manage global settings, user permissions, and access controls for the Canto DAM platform
• Architect and maintain asset taxonomy, metadata standards, and tagging structures to enhance searchability
• Oversee asset lifecycle management, including file intake, versioning, quality control, and digital rights management

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of experience administering enterprise-scale Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems, specifically Canto
• Proven expertise in building and managing Canto portals and user permissions
• Deep knowledge of taxonomy development and metadata strategies in a creative environment
• Practical understanding of digital rights and asset licensing across various media
• Experience in creating documentation and conducting user training for platform adoption
