Digital Forensics Lead

Job Summary

Leading complex forensic investigations, the contracted Digital Forensics & Incident Response Lead will operate remotely, managing high-stakes engagements such as data breaches and ransomware responses while delivering expert-level forensic reporting and strategic guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the end-to-end forensic process including collection, examination, analysis, and reporting
• Oversee the identification and acquisition of digital evidence while maintaining a documented chain of custody
• Provide advanced analytical response and advisory services during high-severity security events

Required qualifications

• 7-10 years of experience in digital forensics, incident response, and network traffic analysis
• Active, advanced security and forensic certifications (e.g., GCFA, GCIH, CISSP)
• Public Trust eligibility; Active Secret clearance preferred
• Proficiency in NIST SP 800-86 guidelines and enterprise network architecture
• Expertise in cloud forensics and compliance frameworks such as PCI DSS and GDPR
