Digital Matte Painting Artist
Job Summary
A company is looking for a Digital Matte Painting Artist in the Games department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create digital paintings of photo-realistic environments based on concept art and/or photo reference
- Collaborate with the art team to develop high-quality matte paintings and set extensions
- Assist in integrating matte paintings into 3D environments and work closely with 3D artists
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Digital Matte Painting with 2+ years in game development
- Shipped at least 2 games in a Digital Matte Painting role, preferably AAA titles
- Strong knowledge of matte painting techniques, Photoshop, and 3D integration
- Understanding of light, color, perspective, and matte painting pipelines
- Expertise in Photoshop, with additional experience in game engines and other software as a plus
