Job Summary

Reporting to the Project Director for the Center for Human Histories and Cultures, the full-time Sr. Manager, Digital Operations will oversee a project team to develop and execute strategies for digital asset assessment, management, and digitization of multi-format human histories and cultures materials, ensuring community participation and consent, while working remotely.

Key responsibilities
  • Develop strategies and guidelines for digital asset management and digitization, incorporating community participation
  • Oversee project staff in conducting surveys and assessments, managing digitization workflows, and cataloging assets
  • Maintain relationships with source communities and promote the project through various communications and presentations
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 3+ years of management experience and 7+ years in GLAM or related institutions with experience in large-scale digital projects
  • Experience with digital asset management systems and workflow design
  • Knowledge of digitization methods for various material formats and metadata standards
  • Ability to engage respectfully with source communities and apply cultural restrictions to assets
