Job Summary
Providing digital safety expertise remotely on a contracted basis, the Digital Safety Trainer will deliver risk assessment and management support to journalists and media organizations across Europe and Eurasia, ensuring a contextualized approach to digital threats.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct digital risk assessment and mitigation planning sessions tailored to the needs of at-risk individuals and organizations
- Coordinate with other support service providers and program staff to ensure an integrated approach to safety
- Provide follow-up mentoring and support, along with reports and updates to program staff as needed
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Digital Security and Risk Management support
- Proven expertise in conducting risk assessments and developing Standard Operating Procedures
- Experience training and mentoring at-risk individuals or organizations on digital security
- In-depth knowledge of the journalism sector and the safety needs of media practitioners
