Director Legal Counsel, Contracts

Job Summary

To support global operations, the fully remote Director Legal Counsel, Contracts will manage a team of two while providing strategic legal advice on commercial transactions, regulatory compliance, and data protection for a multinational technology company.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a global contracts team, establishing priorities and driving operational excellence within the Legal & Compliance function
• Negotiate and draft complex international agreements, including SaaS, software, and vendor agreements, while advising stakeholders on legal risks
• Provide legal guidance on data privacy, cybersecurity, and compliance issues affecting the organization, and develop training for internal stakeholders

Required qualifications:

• Minimum five years of legal experience in corporate and commercial transactions, preferably within a multinational technology company
• Significant experience negotiating enterprise technology agreements with highly regulated customers
• Demonstrated expertise in data privacy, cybersecurity, and technology-related contractual matters
• Experience managing cross-border legal issues and working with local counsel
• JD from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing
