Director, Medical Reviewer

Job Summary

To support Global Pharmacovigilance, the remote contract Director, Medical Reviewer will oversee the medical assessment of individual case safety reports for investigational and marketed products, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and effective communication with stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee global medical review of individual case safety reports, ensuring compliance and timely assessments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate the safety profile of products and establish harmonization standards with alliance partners
• Mentor and train new or junior colleagues while keeping management informed of safety concerns and developing issues

Required qualifications

• Medical degree or internationally recognized equivalent
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, with at least 5 years in Pharmacovigilance
• 5 years of clinical experience with patients following post-graduate training
• Proven ability to manage multiple critical issues in a high-pressure environment
• Strong interpersonal skills with experience working in international and cross-functional teams
