Director of Academic Advising

Job Summary

Providing leadership and oversight for academic advising services, the full-time Director of Academic Advising will manage a centralized advising unit, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities while enhancing student success and retention for both on-campus and online students.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive advising strategy to support student progression and timely degree completion
• Supervise and mentor a team of professional academic advisors, fostering a collaborative and student-focused culture
• Utilize data and analytics to assess advising effectiveness and continuously improve services based on student outcomes

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any field
• Three to five years of professional experience in academic advising or a related area within a college or university setting
• At least three years of experience supervising or leading professional staff
• Demonstrated knowledge of academic advising practices and retention strategies
• Experience working with diverse student populations and institutional systems such as CRM platforms
