Director of Accounting

Job Summary

Providing financial leadership in a remote full-time capacity, the Director of Accounting will manage general accounting functions, oversee accounting for distinct business units, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information within a complex organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct all general accounting functions, including operating expenses, capital expenditures, and internal payroll costs, while overseeing two distinct business lines
• Deliver comprehensive monthly and quarterly financial reports with detailed variance analysis and provide strategic insights to senior management
• Lead, coach, and develop a geographically distributed accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning

Required Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting required
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with at least 3 years in a management role
• In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Strong systems experience, including large enterprise financial systems; hands-on experience with Oracle products preferred
