Director of Accounting and Finance

Job Summary

Leading the Finance Department, the full-time salaried Director of Accounting and Finance will manage accounting operations, support financial planning, and ensure accurate financial reporting while fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Finance Department, including performance management and departmental priorities
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records and reporting, including month-end and year-end close processes
• Support budgeting, cash flow management, and grant accounting activities to enhance financial stewardship and compliance

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum of seven years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least three years in a leadership role
• Demonstrated experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and experience with financial statement audits
• Experience managing grant-funded programs and compliance with funding requirements
