Director of Accounting Operations

Job Summary

Overseeing a team of accountants, the full-time remote Director of Accounting Operations will manage financial accounting and reporting functions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting multiple facilities within the organization.

Key responsibilities:

• Supervise daily financial accounting operations, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations of staff
• Ensure timely and accurate general ledger closing and financial reporting for various business lines
• Act as a technical resource for accounting staff and coordinate adherence to GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley provisions

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• Seven years of experience in healthcare accounting, with proficiency in general ledger accounting and reporting systems
• Comprehensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and financial reporting
• Ability to use complex spreadsheets and conduct detailed financial analysis
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and motivate a team
