Director of Actuarial Services

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director, Actuarial - Variable Annuities and RILA.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the close and reporting processes under IFRS, US GAAP, and Statutory/NAIC for Variable Annuity and RILA blocks
• Oversee preparation and review of financial statements and disclosures for various stakeholders
• Manage and develop a reporting team focused on accounting bases and ensure effective audit coordination

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or related field with 10 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 8 years of experience
• FSA and American Academy of Actuaries membership
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Solid understanding of capital markets and risk/return profiles of various assets
• Experience in financial reporting, controllership, or actuarial roles within life insurance
