Director of Actuarial Services
Job Summary
Leading the development and oversight of actuarial models, the remote Director of Actuarial Services will manage end-to-end actuarial functions, including reserving, forecasting, and performance-related support for value-based care partnerships.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and report on total cost of care savings performance estimates for partner contracts, ensuring data accuracy and methodological consistency
- Coordinate annual financial reconciliations for value-based contracts and validate results with partner actuarial teams
- Identify financial risks and opportunities, advising the Finance team on revenue recognition tied to projected shared savings
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Actuarial Sciences, Economics, Math, or a related quantitative discipline
- Associateship or Fellowship from the Society of Actuaries (ASA or FSA)
- 8+ years of actuarial experience in healthcare and/or medical economics
- 2+ years of experience mentoring junior staff members
- Understanding of Medicare Advantage health plan data and experience using SQL or another coding language for data analysis
