Director of Actuarial Services

Job Summary

Leading the JFSA Economic Capital program, the full-time remote Director of Actuarial Services will oversee economic capital governance and reporting, manage a team of professionals, and collaborate with various stakeholders to integrate risk insights into business strategy and decision-making.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the production and reporting of economic capital results under the JFSA framework for stakeholders
• Lead and develop a team of economic capital professionals, ensuring high-quality analysis and timely reporting
• Serve as the primary liaison with Meiji Yasuda on economic capital methodologies and reporting requirements

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Business, or a related field; ASA designation required, FSA designation preferred
• Eight or more years of actuarial experience with a solid understanding of economic capital regulations
• Proven experience managing and developing actuarial teams to meet business objectives
• Experience with JFSA regulations is a plus
• Strong technology skills in Excel; experience with Power BI and Dataiku is a plus
