Director of AI Engineering

Job Summary

Leading a high-performing engineering team, the full-time remote Director of AI Engineering will drive the development of AI agents for HR and Finance, ensuring robust integration with the Workday ecosystem while fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.

Key responsibilities:

• Build, lead, and mentor a team of exceptional AI agent engineers
• Ensure timely project delivery of AI agents that meet exceptional standards
• Collaborate with product managers and data scientists to translate business requirements into technical solutions

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering leadership with a focus on AI/ML and cloud-based systems
• 5+ years of experience in design and development for mission-critical systems at scale
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Deep understanding of LLMs, AI agents, RAG, and orchestration frameworks
• Experience with enterprise-grade AI architectures and API integration
