Director of AI Governance

Job Summary

As a fully remote opportunity, the Director of AI Governance will establish and operationalize a comprehensive governance framework for data quality and ethical AI usage, chair the Data Council, and manage compliance with global data regulations while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and operationalize a governance framework covering data quality, privacy, and ethical AI usage
• Chair the Data Council and participate in the AI Governance Board to review new data and AI use cases
• Manage the enterprise data catalog and oversee stewardship processes for data ownership and access control

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in data governance, information management, or AI governance in complex enterprise environments
• Deep understanding of data management disciplines, including data quality and privacy frameworks
• Familiarity with AI model lifecycle governance and regulatory frameworks (e.g., EU AI Act)
• Demonstrated success leading enterprise councils or cross-functional governance programs
• Strong collaboration skills with privacy, security, and compliance organizations
