Director of AI Operating System

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director, AI OS to lead the development of the AI OS layer for devices.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own the architecture of the AI OS layer, ensuring efficient and safe runtime for AI workloads
• Provide device API surface for AI, ensuring integration with hardware capabilities while maintaining stability and security
• Build and lead a team of engineers focused on AI OS runtime and full-stack OS integration

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in building operating systems or core system software
• 5+ years in an engineering leadership role, specifically in OS or low-level system software
• Deep experience in at least one major OS stack (Windows, Linux, Android, etc.)
• Experience designing new runtime or platform abstractions
• Familiarity with AI workloads and their interaction with system resources is a strong plus
