Director of AI Operations

Job Summary

To operationalize and govern the workplace AI ecosystem, the full-time remote Director of AI Operations will manage AI tools and platforms, oversee AI governance and security, and lead a team focused on AI sustainment and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Own AI sustainment and governance for workplace AI tools, optimizing licenses and monitoring production usage patterns
• Evaluate, fine-tune, and troubleshoot machine learning and generative AI models, collaborating with data science and engineering teams
• Build and lead a team of AI operations professionals, setting strategic direction and managing the operational roadmap for AI initiatives

Required qualifications

• 15+ years in platform operations, ML/AI operations, or SaaS sustainment roles with leadership experience in high-stakes environments
• Direct hands-on experience with developing, training, and evaluating machine learning models or generative AI systems
• Strong background in governance, compliance, and security related to data-driven or AI systems
• Proven ability to manage licenses and optimize costs for SaaS or AI tools at scale
• Demonstrated experience building and leading high-performing teams, including hiring and mentoring talent
