Director of Ambulatory Surgery Coding

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Enterprise Director of Ambulatory Surgery Coding to lead coding operations for outpatient surgical services.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of coders for facility and professional services
• Ensure coding accuracy, compliance with regulations, and adherence to payer guidelines
• Oversee coding audits, quality assurance processes, and ongoing staff education

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management or related field required
• 8+ years of experience in healthcare coding, with leadership experience required
• RHIA, RHIT, CPC, COC, or CCS certification required; advanced credentials preferred
• Strong knowledge of outpatient facility and professional surgical coding guidelines
• 3+ years of experience in a leadership role
