Director of Analytics Engineering
Job Summary
To shape the data infrastructure and analytics capabilities, the full-time remote Director of Analytics Engineering will design scalable data solutions, mentor team members, and ensure high-quality data availability for analytics and decision-making.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and own a long-term strategic vision for enterprise data architecture, aligning it with business priorities and platform growth
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Analytics Engineers to build a scalable and reliable data foundation
- Design and operationalize a unified semantic layer with enforced modeling standards and business context for self-serve analytics
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in data and analytics engineering with expertise in scalable data models and infrastructure
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, data modeling, ETL/ELT, and cloud warehouses (dbt, Snowflake, Tableau)
- Demonstrated strategic leadership experience managing high-performing analytics engineering teams
- Experience in setting vision for team growth and technical strategy in data architecture and governance
- Ability to communicate technical topics clearly to non-technical audiences and drive adoption of data best practices
