Job Summary
Overseeing the design and implementation of educational programs, the full-time remote Director of Animal Welfare Education will manage staff, develop curricula on animal sentience and welfare, and build strategic partnerships to enhance community engagement and program impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive education strategy aligned with organizational mission and goals
- Design curricula, workshops, and digital learning resources on animal sentience and welfare topics
- Manage and supervise education staff, interns, and volunteers while establishing partnerships with various stakeholders
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Animal Science, Biology, Nonprofit Management, or related field; Master's preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in education, program development, or outreach, preferably in animal welfare
- Demonstrated experience managing teams, budgets, and collaborative partnerships
- Strong knowledge of animal behavior and community-based education best practices
- Experience designing curricula and evaluation frameworks for diverse audiences
