Director of Application Counseling

Job Summary

Leading the management and development of a counseling network, the full-time Director of Application Counseling will oversee training, quality assurance, and strategic initiatives to enhance customer experience and student outcomes in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop counselors, including onboarding, training, and performance management
• Improve training content and oversight to enhance counselors' expertise in admissions counseling
• Evaluate counselor work and address family complaints, ensuring quality control and program performance analysis

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a highly selective institution; advanced degrees are a plus
• 5+ years of experience in education, admissions consulting, or client-facing environments
• Prior people-management experience with a demonstrated ability to coach and motivate
• Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to execute and operationalize ideas
• High emotional intelligence and comfort navigating complex situations
