Director of Applied AI Engineering

Job Summary

Leading a team of engineers, the full-time Director of Applied AI Engineering will build and operationalize AI systems that transform business processes through intelligent automation and data extraction, working remotely to ensure production-grade capabilities are delivered effectively.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop AI-powered document processing systems for real-time data extraction and classification
• Oversee the integration of large language models into business workflows, ensuring operational reliability and effectiveness
• Establish standards and patterns for building, testing, and deploying AI capabilities across the organization

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 7+ years of engineering leadership experience, including managing senior engineers
• Proven track record of shipping AI solutions to production with reliability engineering
• Hands-on experience with large language models in production workflows
• Experience in regulated environments such as healthcare or financial services
