Job Summary
Leading a team of engineers, the full-time Director of Automation Engineering will build AI-enabled automation systems and production-grade software to enhance NBCUniversal's data collaboration ecosystem while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Design and deliver internal AI agents and automation workflows using advanced technologies to support various operational tasks
- Establish evaluation metrics and monitoring patterns for AI-agent behavior to ensure reliability and performance
- Oversee the development of production-grade Python applications and champion software engineering best practices
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on leading and mentoring engineering teams
- Deep hands-on experience in building production-grade software using Python
- Experience designing AI-enabled workflows and complex automation systems
- 5+ years of experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks
