Leading a team of engineers, the full-time Director of Automation Engineering will build AI-enabled automation systems and production-grade software to enhance NBCUniversal's data collaboration ecosystem, working remotely to deliver reliable systems and workflows.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of internal AI agents and automation workflows using advanced technologies
- Establish evaluation metrics and monitoring patterns for AI-agent behavior, ensuring reliability and accuracy
- Oversee the design and maintenance of production-grade Python applications and libraries for various data workflows
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a technical field such as Computer Science or Software Engineering
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on leading and mentoring teams
- Deep hands-on experience building production-grade software using Python and related practices
- Experience designing AI-enabled workflows and automation systems
- 5+ years of experience with cloud data platforms like Snowflake or Databricks
