Job Summary
Leading a dynamic team, the remote Director of Brand Partnerships will manage a portfolio of creator and celebrity partnerships, drive deal origination and negotiation, and connect the partnerships program to broader marketing goals while overseeing a team of ten across North America and Europe.
Key responsibilities
- Own the full brand partnerships function, managing 100-150 creator deals and approximately 10 celebrity partnerships annually
- Lead end-to-end deal origination, shaping, and negotiation, including complex multi-deliverable agreements with agents and talent teams
- Drive processes and systems to ensure high-quality operations at volume while maintaining accountability and connecting to Shopify's marketing goals
Required qualifications
- Proven experience negotiating high-stakes partnerships directly with talent and agents
- In-house experience managing a brand partnership function with significant budget accountability
- Strong understanding of celebrity and cultural marketing, with a focus on the creator economy
- Track record of building and leading high-performing teams with at least 8 years of management experience
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including legal, finance, and product marketing
