Director of Budget Operations

Job Summary

Reporting directly to the Chief Budget Officer, the full-time salaried Director of Budget Operations will oversee the development and administration of the university's operating budget, ensuring effective allocation and monitoring of financial resources totaling over $600 million annually.

Key responsibilities

• Direct the allocation, monitoring, and evaluation of the university's internal budget and financial transactions
• Collaborate with institutional leadership to draft the annual operating budget and six-year financial plan
• Provide financial analysis and guidance to senior leadership on budget requests and institutional fiscal impacts

Required qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training
• Significant professional experience in budget development and management for large organizations
• Proven expertise in advanced financial analysis and budgeting principles
• Experience with financial system development and implementation
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a team
