Director of Business Development

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of Business Development.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a portfolio of donors, managing relationships with high-capacity donors and prospects
• Support foundation and corporate partnerships by developing customized pitches and ensuring timely delivery of reports and materials
• Manage development operations and systems, overseeing deadlines and team performance while collaborating cross-functionally to align donor strategy with organizational goals

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in fast-paced environments such as consulting, strategy, finance, philanthropy, or high-growth nonprofits
• Proven ability to build trust and manage complex external relationships with discretion
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional workstreams and drive toward outcomes
• Commitment to advancing educational equity and supporting students from underserved backgrounds
• Passion for addressing systemic challenges in Title I schools
