Job Summary
To drive strategic growth in the pharmaceutical sector, the full-time remote Director of Business Development will position and sell comprehensive Medical Affairs Advisory and Medical Communications solutions while collaborating with internal teams to close high-value opportunities.
Key responsibilities
- Position and sell medical affairs advisory and communications solutions to pharmaceutical and biotech decision makers
- Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities using a consultative sales approach
- Maintain disciplined pipeline management in Salesforce for accurate forecasting and opportunity progression
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field strongly preferred
- 10+ years of experience in business development roles within medical communications or medical affairs advisory services
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding annual revenue targets, typically $3-4M+
- Deep experience engaging pharmaceutical stakeholders responsible for hiring medical communications services
- Experience operating effectively within a matrixed scientific, operational, and technical environment
