Job Summary
To support a growing insurance company, the full-time salaried Director of Capital Management will oversee capital analytics, regulatory capital insights, and modeling while collaborating with various teams to enhance capital positioning, with a hybrid work arrangement based in New York, Austin, or Miami.
Key responsibilities
- Own the calculation and analysis of NAIC Risk-Based Capital (RBC) ratios and lead quarterly and annual RBC analytics
- Develop and enhance capital models to project statutory surplus and lead sensitivity and stress testing
- Serve as the primary analytical lead for rating agency processes, developing capital analysis and supporting materials
Required qualifications
- 7-10 years of experience in insurance finance, actuarial, or capital management, preferably within life and annuities
- Strong understanding of statutory accounting (SAP) and NAIC RBC framework
- Proven experience in building and maintaining capital models, including scenario and sensitivity analysis
- Familiarity with rating agency capital frameworks and regulatory capital requirements
- Progress toward or attainment of FSA, CFA, or similar designation; MBA is a plus
