Job Summary
To support a growing capital management strategy, the full-time salaried Director of Capital Management will oversee capital analytics, modeling, and regulatory insights while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a hybrid work environment based in New York, Austin, or Miami.
Key responsibilities
- Own the calculation and monitoring of NAIC Risk-Based Capital (RBC) ratios, leading quarterly and annual analytics
- Develop and enhance capital models to project statutory surplus and evaluate impacts of various scenarios through sensitivity and stress testing
- Serve as the analytical lead for rating agency processes, preparing materials and supporting interactions for capital reviews
Required qualifications
- 7-10 years of experience in insurance finance, actuarial, or capital management, preferably within life and annuities
- Strong understanding of statutory accounting (SAP) and NAIC RBC framework
- Proven experience in building and maintaining capital models, including scenario and sensitivity analysis
- Familiarity with rating agency capital frameworks and regulatory capital requirements
- Progress toward or attainment of FSA, CFA, or similar designation; MBA is a plus
