Job Summary
Leading the Casualty Claims organization, the full-time Director of Casualty Claims will develop strategic initiatives, oversee operational processes, and ensure high-quality claim handling standards in a fully remote or hybrid role.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic initiatives to improve claim outcomes and operational efficiency
- Direct reserving practices to maintain accurate indemnity and expense reserves across the claims portfolio
- Provide analysis through metrics and data analytics to identify trends and drive continuous improvement
Required qualifications
- Significant experience in General Liability (CGL) claims, particularly with complex and high-severity cases
- Bachelor's degree preferred; industry designations (CPCU, AIC, SCLA) or JD are a plus
- 8-10+ years of progressive casualty claims experience with an insurance carrier
- 5+ years of proven leadership experience managing teams
- Advanced claims technical knowledge and strong business acumen, including financial management and reserving practices
