Director of Chemical Safety
Job Summary
As a leader within the Corporate Food Safety & Quality organization, the full-time remote Director of Chemical Safety will provide enterprise leadership and technical governance for chemical safety, food toxicology, and analytical chemistry, ensuring consumer protection and regulatory compliance across the organization.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies for chemical safety and food toxicology, including standards and technical governance
- Serve as the subject matter expert for toxicological risk assessment and chemical hazard evaluation
- Lead technical responses for chemical safety incidents and regulatory inquiries while monitoring evolving trends in the field
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant scientific discipline
- 15+ years of experience in food safety, toxicology, or related technical environments
- Demonstrated leadership in chemical safety and food toxicology
- Experience interfacing with regulatory bodies such as FDA, USDA, and EPA
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures and analytical equipment, including GC/MS and LC/QTOF
