Director of Claims

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director Claims to manage complex medical professional liability claims and develop a new claims services model.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of high severity medical professional liability claims from intake through resolution
• Build, supervise, and mentor a team of claim professionals while creating performance metrics and operational workflows
• Contribute to the design and implementation of unbundled claim services, collaborating with various departments to align protocols with client expectations

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
• Minimum 10 years of medical professional liability claims experience, including litigation management
• Demonstrated expertise in handling high-exposure, complex clinical matters
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret medical records and legal strategies
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience is preferred
