Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of Climate Services to lead the development of a new climate services program.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct the Climate Services Program, including strategy, goals, and budget management
• Engage with external stakeholders to identify opportunities for product development that enhances resilience
• Collaborate with internal teams to build, test, and promote climate services

Required Qualifications

• 20+ years of experience in federal agencies with a significant climate services portfolio
• Scientific background related to climate change and understanding of its societal applications
• Proven track record of organizing multidisciplinary teams to meet stakeholder needs
• Experience in stakeholder engagement with high-trust relationships across sectors
• Participation in synthesis activities like the National Climate Assessment or IPCC reports is preferred
