Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director, Clinical Ontology.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and governance of clinical ontology across various data domains
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure ontology supports scalable data architecture and analytics
• Define and manage controlled vocabularies and ontology mappings with third-party health ecosystems

Required Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in biomedical informatics, computer science, information science, or a related field
• 7+ years of experience in ontology development, semantic data modeling, or health informatics
• Deep knowledge of biomedical ontologies and standards (e.g., HL7 FHIR, SNOMED CT)
• Experience in consumer health, wearables, or remote patient monitoring is preferred
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and work with clinical domain experts
