Director of Cloud Operations
Job Summary
Leading a high-performing team, the full-time remote Director of Cloud Operations will be responsible for the reliability, security, and operational efficiency of enterprise cloud environments across AWS and Azure, while managing vendor relationships and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor the Cloud Operations organization, fostering a culture of accountability and operational excellence
- Oversee daily operations of AWS and Azure environments, ensuring availability, performance, and incident management
- Establish operational readiness and acceptance requirements for cloud workloads entering production, ensuring compliance and security controls are met
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in IT Operations, including 5+ years in leadership roles within cloud environments
- Strong background in ITSM and operational governance, including incident and change management
- Experience managing strategic vendors and ensuring SLA accountability
- Demonstrated success in leading FinOps and continuous improvement initiatives
