Director of Coding Compliance

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director, Coding and Compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of hospital coding, abstracting, and denial management
• Collaborate with clinical teams to enhance documentation and reduce denials
• Establish and report on departmental KPIs related to coding accuracy and compliance

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate degree in Health Information Management or related field (RHIA or RHIT)
• Coding certification as a CCS is required
• Three years of management experience in a Health Information Management department
• Four years of coding/DRG experience, preferably in an acute care teaching hospital
• Experience with project management and computer systems implementation
