Director of Coding Operations

Job Summary

Leading a large team of expert-level certified coders, the full-time remote Director of Coding Operations will ensure coding accuracy and compliance while partnering with enterprise customers to enhance their coding workflows and audit-readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of certified coders, focusing on complex case auditing and AI integration
• Advise enterprise clients on coding quality and compliance, translating goals into measurable improvements
• Own and report on coding accuracy and productivity KPIs while continuously improving coding frameworks and workflows

Required qualifications

• 7+ years in medical coding, with 3+ years in a leadership role, specifically in home health or hospice
• Active coding credentials such as HCS-D, HCS-H, BCHH-C, CCS, CPC, COC, or CDIP
• Expertise in PDGM and hospice coding, along with a strong understanding of ICD-10-CM and OASIS coding
• Proven experience leading large coding teams and implementing quality improvement programs
• Ability to work with enterprise clients and communicate effectively with senior leaders in large agencies
