Job Summary

Seeking a strategic, commercially minded Director of Commercial Accounting to lead the accounting team in Dallas, Texas, focusing on inventory valuation, margin optimization, and financial governance, while fostering cross-functional collaboration in a full-time capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee accounting policies related to inventory valuation, sales, and margin reserves
• Direct month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with US GAAP standards
• Lead technology initiatives impacting inventory and margin, driving automation and process transformation

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA preferred
• 8-12+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience, with at least 4-5 years in a managerial or director role in retail
• Master-level knowledge of Weighted-Average-Cost Accounting and luxury consignment models
• Deep experience with enterprise-level inventory management and financial reporting software
• Proven track record in leading digital transformation or finance-system implementation projects
