Director of Commercial Legal

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director, Commercial Legal to build and lead its commercial legal function.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and lead the commercial legal function, managing customer-facing agreements and vendor contracts
• Draft, negotiate, and close a variety of commercial agreements, including MSAs, DPAs, and NDAs
• Build scalable contracting frameworks and drive continuous improvement of legal processes using automation and AI tools

Required Qualifications

• Admitted and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, with extensive in-house experience
• 10+ years of experience in drafting and negotiating enterprise commercial agreements in a B2B SaaS environment
• Proven track record supporting fast-moving sales organizations
• Experience building commercial legal infrastructure, including CLM systems and playbooks
• People management experience, with the ability to develop and grow a team
