Job Summary
As the Director of Communications, this full-time remote position will manage the development and execution of a comprehensive communications strategy, oversee public relations and media relations, and ensure effective internal communications to align and engage employees with the company’s mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Build a comprehensive communications strategy in collaboration with the executive team and cross-functional partners
- Serve as the primary contact for media inquiries and manage crisis communications while fostering relationships with key media outlets
- Design and implement an internal communications strategy that keeps employees informed and motivated
Required Qualifications
- 8-10+ years of experience in corporate communications, PR, or journalism, with at least 3+ years in the B2B energy, cleantech, or heavy industrial tech sectors
- Proven track record in managing external PR and internal communications within a growing organization
- Experience in placing stories in high-tier media and managing large-scale corporate events
- Deep understanding of energy market dynamics and the ability to translate complex concepts into compelling narratives
- Experience in team management and advising senior executives on communication strategies
