Director of Communications

Job Summary

To support a growing fintech company, the fully remote Director of Communications will manage PR strategies to elevate investor narratives, enhance the founder's visibility, and transform consumer traction into compelling stories for tier-1 media outlets.

Key Responsibilities

• Own Cleo's investor-facing narrative by executing a PR strategy that shifts coverage to tier-1 business and investor press
• Build founder visibility through a content strategy that secures media appearances and enhances thought leadership
• Turn consumer traction into investor signals by collaborating with Growth and Brand teams to create data-driven press stories

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years in PR, communications, or a combination, with a proven track record in high-growth tech or fintech companies
• Experience with significant PR inflection points such as fundraising narratives or pre-IPO profiles
• Strong relationships with tier-1 business, tech, and fintech journalists
• Ability to translate complex product and financial stories into engaging narratives for diverse audiences
• Strategic thinker comfortable in a high-autonomy environment with limited process
