Director of Communications

Job Summary

To shape and execute an integrated communications strategy, the full-time Director of Communications will develop narratives for policymakers and media, lead media engagement, and manage the communications team in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute integrated communications strategies to advance organizational priorities
• Lead proactive and reactive media engagement, identifying opportunities to shape public discourse
• Oversee the drafting and dissemination of external communications materials, ensuring alignment with company goals

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in strategic communications, public affairs, or related fields
• Strong media relations experience with proficiency in managing third-party relationships
• Experience directing rapid response efforts and producing targeted written communications
• Demonstrated ability to advise senior leadership on messaging and reputational risk
• Track record of leading and developing a communications team while maintaining high execution standards
