Job Summary
Driving national media strategy, the full-time remote Director of Communications will manage PR efforts, cultivate journalist relationships, and produce original content to enhance organizational visibility and authority in employee ownership.
Key responsibilities
- Lead national PR initiatives, including media outreach and agency management, to secure high-impact coverage
- Develop thought leadership content and ghostwrite for executive leadership to enhance visibility and secure speaking opportunities
- Oversee the creation of major publications and reports, ensuring alignment with branding and messaging standards
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in PR/Communications, with at least 3 years in a management role
- Proven track record of securing feature stories in national outlets and producing significant publications
- Strong executive ghostwriting skills and experience in long-form writing
- Familiarity with SEO/AEO strategies and experience using media intelligence tools
- Degree in PR, Journalism, Communications, or Marketing, or equivalent experience
