Director of Communications

Job Summary

To enhance its public relations efforts, the remote/hybrid Sr. Director of Communications will build and lead a proactive earned media strategy, strengthen external reputation, and manage a small team while collaborating with executive leadership and various departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and evolve ABC's external narrative, identifying key stories and thought leadership opportunities
• Lead the proactive earned media strategy, developing and pitching stories to reinforce ABC's reputation
• Oversee workplace reputation communications and align employer brand strategy with recruiting and retention goals

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, or reputation management
• Demonstrated hands-on experience in developing story angles and securing media placements
• Experience advising senior executives on reputation strategy and crisis communications
• Background in healthcare or regulated industries preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field
