Director of Compliance

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director, Compliance to lead and mature its global compliance function.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain a global compliance program aligned with U.S. and international export control and sanctions regimes
• Oversee ECCN classification and technical export analyses for advanced semiconductor and AI hardware products
• Partner cross-functionally with various teams to ensure operational controls align with evolving regulatory requirements

Qualifications

• 10+ years of legal, compliance, or regulatory experience, ideally within export-controlled or government-regulated industries
• Experience in semiconductors, advanced compute, cloud infrastructure, or similarly regulated technology sectors preferred
• Deep familiarity with export controls, sanctions programs, and international trade compliance frameworks
• Demonstrated experience building and scaling enterprise compliance programs in high-growth environments
• Strong cross-functional partnership skills and executive presence
