Director of Computational Biology

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of Computational Biology.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of a target identification and prioritization pipeline using multi-omics data
• Define internal standards for validation of target discovery methods and assess data quality
• Lead a team of computational biologists and contribute to cross-functional target assessment documents

Required Qualifications

• PhD in computational biology, bioinformatics, genomics, systems biology, or a related quantitative field with 8+ years of relevant experience
• Proven experience in target identification and validation using multi-omics approaches in pharma or biotech
• Experience with multi-omics analyses and integration, including RNA-seq and proteomics
• Proficiency in Python and/or R, with knowledge of Bash and Docker preferred
• Experience managing PhD-level scientists and influencing cross-functional teams
