Director of Contracts

Job Summary

Overseeing a high-volume contract pipeline, the full-time Director of Contracts will manage government and regulated client contracts across North America, ensuring legal compliance and operational execution while modernizing the contracting function through AI and automation.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage a portfolio of 40-100 concurrent contracts, ensuring visibility into pipeline health and execution readiness
• Lead the drafting and negotiation of agreements, collaborating with stakeholders to shape pricing frameworks and performance obligations
• Transform the contracts function through AI-driven process optimization and establish governance frameworks for risk management

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in contracts management, legal operations, or commercial negotiations
• Proven ownership of large, complex, multi-year contracts, particularly with utilities or public agencies
• Strong leadership experience in managing and developing teams
• Bachelor's degree required
• Direct experience with state and/or federal government contracts
