Director of Corporate Affairs Communications

Job Summary

Serving as the lead communications counselor, the full-time remote Director of Corporate Affairs Communications will manage strategic communications for Amgen's Development organization and pipeline portfolio, partnering with senior leadership to enhance understanding of scientific innovation and clinical progress.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the communications strategy for the Development organization and pipeline portfolio, creating integrated plans to highlight scientific innovation and clinical milestones
• Act as a trusted communications advisor to the Development Senior Leadership Team, providing strategic counsel on visibility, organizational communications, and issues management
• Shape enterprise pipeline communications by developing compelling narratives that support key development and regulatory milestones

Required qualifications

• Doctorate degree and 4 years of communications or public relations experience, or Master's degree and 7 years, or Bachelor's degree and 9 years of relevant experience
• Experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare, with a strong understanding of drug development
• Demonstrated success in leading strategic communications for complex scientific or business initiatives
• Proven ability to develop executive communications and thought leadership strategies
• Experience managing and developing high-performing communications teams while collaborating across various functions
